All security officers undergo a BTEC Level 2 Training Course before applying for thier license.
The course covers:
- Role and responsibilities of security officers
- Customer care and social skills
- Fire safety
- Health and safety
- Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE approved certificate)
- Dealing with incidents and emergencies
- The Law (civil and criminal)
- Procedures for the control of keys and equipment
- Assignment instructions
- Reporting
- Communication skills
- Conflict management
- ACT Awareness
Guardforce commit to ensuring that all of our Security Officers are fully trained on site, and that their duties are carried out as agreed within our comprehensive Assignment Instructions.
Additional modules may be added where the customer specifies or we feel the necessity, for example:
- Managing aggression and diffusing situations
Our security officers are encouraged, and assisted, to undertake the Skills for Security Professional Guarding Course. This ongoing training helps to improve Security Officers knowledge and skills when undertaking their duties.
