This is a very special edition of our company newsletter, as we proudly celebrate the 31st anniversary of Guardforce Security Services, part of the Guardforce Global Group, alongside our growing division, MKM Commercial Cleaning. This milestone comes at a particularly festive time of year, and I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all our clients and team members. To those celebrating, I wish you a Merry Christmas, and to everyone, a Happy New Year filled with prosperity, health, and success.
Reflecting on these 31 years, I am proud of what we have achieved together. Guardforce Security Services has been built on a foundation of trust, honesty, and transparency, values that remain at the core of everything we do. I am deeply grateful to our dedicated team members for their loyalty and hard work. Many of you have been with us for decades, and your unwavering commitment has been the cornerstone of our success.
Our roots lay in the support, training, and learning from our mother office in the United Kingdom, and this connection continues to guide us today. A heartfelt thank you to our team in the United Kingdom, whose dedication and expertise have been instrumental in shaping our company. I would also like to thank Imran Iqbal, Managing Directo UK Division, and Jawed Bukhari, Director of Services, along with their respective teams, for their continued contributions to the growth and success of our UK office.
A special acknowledgment goes to our 24/7 Control and Command Centre, whose team works tirelessly in all weather conditions—rain, sun, snow, or heat. They ensure that every call is answered with the utmost professionalism by highly trained customer care
specialists, capable of handling any situation that arises. Your commitment is the backbone of entire team, for their loyal service over the decades.
To our valued clients, thank you for entrusting us with your security, lifeguards, and commercial cleaning needs. Your confidence in our capabilities drives us to continually strive for excellence. I assure you that we remain committed to delivering the highest standards of service, whether through Guardforce Security Services or MKM Commercial Cleaning. Reflections on Working from Guardforce Global’s Dubai Office
Hello Team,
I’m pleased to share my experience as I step into my new role here at Guardforce Global’s Dubai office. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’d like to give you a glimpse into what it’s been like so far.
First and foremost, the Dubai office is a vibrant and dynamic place. The city itself is a melting pot of cultures, innovation, and growth, which is mirrored in our workplace environment. The energy here is profound, and it’s inspiring to be part of such a forward-thinking team.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is the opportunity to bridge our efforts between Dubai and the UK. This cross-regional collaboration allows us to leverage diverse perspectives and expertise, ultimately enhancing our service delivery and client satisfaction. Working closely with both teams has given me a unique insight into the strengths and capabilities we possess across our offices.
The support and friendship I’ve experienced here in Dubai have been incredible. The team is dedicated, driven, and committed to excellence, making every day a chance to learn and grow.
We are constantly pushing to deliver exceptional results, and it’s truly a privilege to be part of this journey.
As part of our ongoing training and upskilling program, I recently delivered a Customer Care training. This was an interactive training session with many scenario-based learnings. The team participated actively, which made delivering learning enjoyable. The feedback from the team was positive and they all learnt the various techniques and skills with ease.

In 1997, Guardforce opened a new office in Neasden, Northwest London, marking the beginning of the company’s strategic growth. This expansion demonstrated Guardforce’s commitment to innovation and adaptability in a rapidly changing security landscape. Guardforce’s dedication to maintaining high standards was formally recognized in 2006 when it became one of the first companies to voluntarily undergo an audit and achieve accreditation as an SIA Approved Contractor under the Security Industry Authority’s (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS). This prestigious accreditation is only awarded to companies that meet the most rigorous standards, underscoring Guardforce’s proactive approach to ensuring quality service. Guardforce continues to maintain its status as one of the top 50 medium-sized SIA-approved contractor companies in the UK.

In 2007, Guardforce took a significant step in its journey by opening its first office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). This move marked the birth of Guardforce Global Group, establishing the company as a multi-regional security leader. As 2024 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of our Security colleagues and control room team. Your dedication, hard work, and passion have been the heart of our success this year, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
This year has brought both challenges and triumphs, and through it all, you’ve shown incredible resilience and teamwork. Whether you’ve been overseeing static sites, securing luxury retail spaces, managing Mobile Response Units, or running the 24/7 control room, you’ve shown what it means to work together and support one another. Each of you plays a vital role. Throughout 2024, we’ve made meaningful progress in a number of areas, all aimed at strengthening our operations and improving our service to meet client expectations. From updating assignment instructions to ensuring that risk assessments are thorough and up to date, we’ve laid a solid foundation for continued success. We’ve also focused on enhancing our training programs, completing annual refresher training, and conducting appraisals to ensure everyone has the tools and support needed to grow and thrive in their roles.
This year, we introduced electronic incident reporting logs, streamlining our documentation and response processes, making them more efficient and accurate. And to top it all off, passing the ACS audit with flying colours is a testament to the hard work and commitment of every one of you.

Antony Opondo’s Journey with Guardforce
We are pleased to share an inspiring story of growth and perseverance from one of our dedicated team members, Antony Opondo. His journey with Guardforce is a testament to the values of resilience and commitment that define our company culture.
Antony first approached the Neasden office in late 2008 with aspirations to join Guardforce but faced an initial setback during his first application. Undeterred, he returned in May 2009 and met Maggie Barnard at the reception desk. Despite hearing there were no vacancies, Antony was encouraged to fill out an application and complete a written aptitude test. As fate would have it, shortly after starting his application, he crossed paths with Jawed, who conducted an impromptu interview and subsequently invited Antony to enroll as a security officer.
Antony’s tenure began with a four-hour shift at 84 Uxbridge Road. Coming from a background where he was accustomed to longer hours and higher pay as a club doorman, this represented a new chapter in his career. Yet, as a student at the time, he recognized the opportunity’s value and committed himself to the role.
His assignments quickly expanded, encompassing retail shops, ad hoc events, and various office buildings. A pivotal chance meeting with a client led to him obtaining his driver’s license, enabling him to expand his responsibilities. This progression coincided with Guardforce securing new operations in Berkshire, where he undertook his first solo drive for the company in a Peugeot 206.
In 2010, Antony’s dedication caught the attention of Mick during a site visit. This pivotal discussion about his career progression ultimately led to Antony being appointed as Operations Manager, a position he held from 2011 to 2015. After a sabbatical from 2016 to 2024, Antony rejoined Guardforce earlier this year as a Business Development Manager—a role he finds well-suited to his extensive history within the company and the evolving industry landscape.
Antony’s journey reflects not only his personal determination but also the supportive environment at Guardforce that encourages professional growth and development. We are thrilled to have him back on the team and look forward to witnessing his contributions in this new capacity. Guardforce Neasden office was less than 50 meters from my single room. My first attempt to secure a job with Guardforce in late 2008/ early 2009 was unsuccessful.
I tried again in May 2009 and this time met Maggie Barnard at reception. She told me there were no vacancies, but I could fill out an application form and do the written aptitude test. I asked if I could take the forms home and return them later as I lived nearby, but she declined. As fate would have it, just as I was about to finish filling them out, Jawed walked in. Maggie introduced me and I had an impromptu interview.
If I may recall, he advised me to wait for his feedback. This feedback came a few days later when he invited me back for enrollment as an officer. He scheduled me to cover 4 hours at 84 Uxbridge Road. For someone used to long hours and higher hourly rate as a club doorman, I felt this was a slow start, but I agreed since I was a student as well. I was regularly rostered at retail shops, ad hoc events and office buildings. A chance meeting with a client at 84 Uxbridge Road helped me get a driver’s license test which I passed. It was also about the same time Guardforce also got a site in Berkshire.
My first solo drive in the UK was in the Guardforce Peugeot 206 to Johnson & Johnson, Berkshire from Neasden office. I was also trained as a Beat officer and covered London, and occasionally Luton sites. In 2010, during a random site visit by Mick to an entertainment establishment I was working in, we had a discussion about my progression in the company. This led to my appointment as an Operations manager in 2011 to 2015. I had a sabbatical from 2016 to 2024.
In 2024 I rejoined Guardforce as a Business Development manager and believe the role suits me due to my history in the company and they way the industry has evolved. I’m sure I’ve omitted some information, but this is basically my journey with Guardforce.

Tsvetelina Dudeva: A Decade of Excellence with Guardforce Security, Part of Guardforce Global Group
Guardforce Security, part of Guardforce Global Group, is proud to spotlight the remarkable career of Tsvetelina Dudeva, who has been an integral part of the organization since 2011. Over the past 13 years, Tsvetelina has demonstrated unwavering dedication and professionalism in her role as HR and Payroll Executive for the UK Division.
Tsvetelina began her journey with Guardforce in an administrative role at the Midland Office in Wellingborough. Her outstanding work ethic and commitment soon led her to the Neasden office in London, where she assumed the critical responsibility of managing payroll and HR functions. This role, her first since graduating from university, marked the start of a fruitful career that continues to thrive.
Currently working remotely from her hometown of Sofia, Bulgaria, Tsvetelina remains deeply connected to the Guardforce team. Reflecting on her tenure, she expressed gratitude for the support she has received both professionally and personally. “Being part of such a motivating and collaborative team has been a true privilege,” she stated.
Over the years, Tsvetelina has gained extensive experience, navigated complex challenges, and contributed significantly to the company’s success. Her role exemplifies the core values of Guardforce: reliability, excellence, and teamwork.

Fast forward to 2023 and We’ve recently just celebrated our 31st Year in business – a very impressive milestone to say the least, and we’ve not only adapted but thrived—passing every audit and milestone with flying colours. It’s a clear testament to the hard work and dedication of every team member in the office, security officer on the sites, and operator in the control room. Strong team collaboration, communication, and synergy enable us to drive innovation, exceed expectations, and deliver exceptional results.
